SECTION 3: GRANT OBJECTIVES AND EXECUTION

Clearly outline the primary objectives of the project and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used to measure success. This helps reviewers understand what the project aims to achieve and how progress will be assessed.

  • Objectives:
  • Enable users on Farcaster to open long or short ETH positions directly in the feed on Warpcast by interacting with a GMX Frame that enables users to take a long or short positions with .01 or .1 eth for a 24 hour period

  • Current plan: Frame will have 2 options: .01 eth and .1 eth. Only 2 directions (long or short) and only one leverage level (something relatively moderate). Once the transaction is submitted in the frame, it just opens the trade and auto-closes the trade in 24 hours from opening.

  • Ideally, we will have a button/link out in the frame to GMX so people can view their position and potentially close it. We also plan to include a button in the frame that allows users to close a trade manually whenever they want instead of relying on the auto-close at the 24 hr mark (dependent on GMX API allowing us to do this)

  • We will likely iterate and improve this frame as we go but the goal is the have a performant MVP frame that makes it easy for Farcaster users to go long or short ETH on GMX directly in a frame on their Farcaster feed or in a Farcaster DM

  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Transaction volume
  • Number of users
  • How will receiving a grant enable you to foster growth or innovation within the GMX ecosystem?:

Enabling easier access for Farcaster users to trade on GMX via a frame

  • Justification for the size of the grant:

This grant size will allow us to build a GMX frame as a proof of concept MVP within 2 weeks. The size of this grant will compensate us for the development time and the hosting costs. In addition to the development time and hosting costs, we feel that a GMX frame has the ability to increase awareness and visibility of GMX across Farcaster.

  • Execution Strategy:

We plan to build this frame in 1-2 weeks and launch it on Farcaster by leveraging a number of channels and group chats where we know there’s some users who actively engage in various defi activities and applications. We are well connected throughout the Farcaster ecosystem so we plan to leverage our relationships to ensure that this frame gets awareness and distribution.

  • Grant Timeline:

Upon the application being accepted, we’d like to see 50% of the grant paid.
Upon completion and launch of the frame, we’d like to see the remaining 50% of the grant paid.

  • Fund Streaming:
Yes, we can accept streaming payment for the 2 week period once the application has been accepted.
