Relevant Experience:
I have spearheaded each governance initiative at Castle:
- Leading forum research contributors in Arbitrum DAO (informally during the STIP phase)
- Frequent writer and editor of reports and educational content on Arbitrum and GMX
- Formed a formal active delegate team for Arbitrum DAO with a full workflow and process
- Leading Castle Capital in their role as Advisors where we helped design the program and supported over 60 applicants
You can find more information on Castle’s governance efforts below:
- GMX Delegate Application: Our formal application as a GMX delegate can be reviewed here
- Arbitrum Forum Summary: Our contributions and active participation in the Arbitrum forum can be found here
Familiarity with GMX, Arbitrum, and DAOs:
I possess a thorough understanding of GMX, Arbitrum, and the wider DAO ecosystem. As an XVIX/GMT migrator, I have been with the protocol and Arbitrum as a chain since day one. Some of you may even remember TokenFeeds, where I built the first functioning price chart of GMX in Q4 2021. From this wonderful community, I have been able to build Castle into a reputable voice in the Arbitrum ecosystem, and now I believe it is time for me to give back to GMX by sitting on this Committee if you would have me.
My involvement in key governance proposals and initiatives at Arbitrum has equipped me with deep insights into the operational and governance frameworks of the DAO, whilst demonstrating my commitment and expertise.
Addtionally, my reputation and trustworthiness within the Arbitrum DAO can be seen from Castle Labs’ success in the Arbitrum Multi-sig Signer Service (MSS) election.
Goals for GMX DAO:
As a significant delegate within the Arbitrum ecosystem, I would want to:
- Champion the solidification of GMX as the base layer of liquidity for Arbitrum, in close collaboration with other key liquidity players and venues
- Ensure Arbitrum comes out on top in the L2 mindshare and attention wars, primarily by supporting the proliferation of Arbitrum’s Orbit technology
- Act as the voice of the GMX DAO and community, turning their warranted concerns and desires into meaning actions and proposals within Arbitrum DAO
Suggestions for the GMX Governance Committee:
To maximize its impact, the GMX governance committee should:
- Closely engage and collaborate with other DAO stakeholders, be it in the forums, in weekly governance calls and working groups, or informally offline - something I already conduct and have the network for
- Create a strong set of goals and an ultimate vision for our participation in Arbitrum DAO, by which all other impacts and assessments are routed to
Time Commitment:
I can commit at least 8 hours per week to serve as part of this council. My experience, role, and current responsibilities within Castle and the Arbitrum DAO enable me to allocate the necessary time and resources to fulfill this commitment effectively.
Declaration of Conflict of Interest (if any):
- Represent Castle Capital as a delegate within Arbitrum DAO
- Represent Castle Labs on the Arbitrum Multi-sig Signer Service (MSS)
- Lead Castle Labs in Service Provider responsibilities for the Arbitrum DAO (LTIPP & STIP Bridge)
