I hope this message finds you well. I am Bear Wang, a software engineer from the DeGov team. With the recent announcement of Tally shutting down its services https://x.com/tallyxyz/status/2033914203837280737 and although another company has picked up the Tally service https://x.com/tallyxyz/status/2039337397125591449, I would still like to introduce DeGov as a self-hosted alternative for on-chain governance to avoid lock-in and provide more flexibility for your DAOs in the future.
DeGov GitHub - ringecosystem/degov: An open-source system that equips OpenZeppelin Governor DAOs with best user experience and security. · GitHub is an open-source UI/UX interface for the OpenZeppelin Governor contract, which is widely used for on-chain governance. It’s designed to be fully compatible with the OpenZeppelin Governor contract and self-hosted for all features, which means that you can have full control over your governance process and won’t worry about service shutdowns in the future. The story behind DeGov is that we were also once Tally users, and we encountered some issues with Tally’s service, which led us to create DeGov as an alternative solution that is totally open-sourced for the community. We believe that for DAOs built on top of open-source contracts, it’s also important to have an open-source and self-hosted solution for the UI/UX layer, which is what DeGov provides. We have iterated on DeGov for a while and released over 30 versions, and we have already onboarded over 30 DAOs on DeGov Square https://square.degov.ai/. We are actively working on improving the product and providing support to our users.
