[Compass Labs] Grant Bi-Weekly Update 2

I. Executive Summary:

Compass Labs was funded with 40,000 ARB to integrate GMX into Dojo for strategy development, backtesting and simulation, and enable users to query curated GMX data.

Over the last week, we have:

  • Completed Milestone 1: we now support all historical events and prices directly within Dojo.
  • Built functionality for order creation and liquidity provisioning on GMX. We can now create orders and provide liquidity on GMX through Dojo. These actions available to users were made sure to be as UX friendly as possible by providing users with the ability to submit different types of orders such as long/short market orders long/short limit orders.
  • We built the UI for order creation and LPing to make it easier to create trading strategies.
  • **Perpetual Trading & GMX v2 Guide:** We published a comprehensive guide on Medium to help users navigate GMX v2 and perpetual contracts.
  • Work on keeper agents for historical market events has proved to be complex and we are on the verge of completing the implementation.
  • Withdrawals and Order updates are also being worked on and will be implemented by the end of the week.

Next items to be covered:

  • Keeper agents for orders and deposits submitted by the users in a backtest
  • Strategy creation

a) Roadmap Progress

We reached milestone 1. The events data and historical prices are persisted in the internal data storage.

We can now replay historical orders and deposits against a fork of the protocol at a provided dates of a simulation. Furthermore, users can create their trading and liquidity provisioning strategies with orders and deposits to run a backtest. We are currently implementing logic to recreate keepers activity on a historic simulation.

b) Milestone/KPI Achievements

With the past weeks achievements we are on track to finish both milestones.

  • Milestone one (data querying): done

  • Milestone two(integration): orders and deposits creation works, need to add keepers into the system and improve user experience through allowing them to provide collateral in different ERC-20 tokens (swap_path).

c) Dune Dashboards: NA

II. Current Progress:

To reiterate, we have order creation and deposit creation working on both historical events and trader submitted actions. Keepers agents are being implemented with more than 80% of work complete. Smaller tasks including withdrawal creation, order updates and implementation of various features that improve user experience.
