Objectives:

  • Integrate GMX V2 into the bot.
  • Launch campaigns to incentivize users, such as trading competitions, deposit bonuses, etc.

How will receiving a grant enable you to foster growth or innovation within the GMX ecosystem?:

BG Bot provides users with a secure way to interact onchain via WhatsApp. Our approach provides users with a unique experience, and to the best of our knowledge, no other existing easy-to-use DeFi solution exists today.

If approved, this grant would push out some of the features we’ve outlined above and in the long run benefit the entire GMX ecosystem as we onboard more users.

Total timeline: 4 months

  1. Full GMX V2 integration + Security Audit- 45,000 $ARB
  2. Developing Community Incentives Programs and implementation of marketing initiatives- 30,000 $ARB

Fund Streaming:

45,000 $ARB Upfront distribution to allow proper execution of milestone 1, subsequent distributions preferably after completion of milestones.

WhatsApp doesn’t have native support for blockchain interactions. How will BG Bot handle private key storage and transaction signing securely within the WhatsApp environment?

Hi, thanks for your questions. :blush:

We are implementing a smart wallet solution into the bot that would handle private key storage and transaction signing for the user.

A High-level Overview of the Process would look like this:

  • Users authenticate using their WhatsApp account. This is done using the WhatsApp Business API to securely verify the user’s phone number and then link it to a created GMX smart wallet account. We plan to use Biconomy’s smart wallets.

  • A smart contract then securely does a mapping of the user’s WhatsApp number and the user’s smart wallet address.
